Emmanuel Reformed Church of the United Church of Christ

Good morning friends and members of Emmanuel Church,

It is a cloudy, yet beautiful day on God’s hill!  We have some exciting things happening in church soon.  

This Sunday is the Baptism of Juniper Ivy Harmon, the grand-daughter of Phil and Karen Reiche.  It’ll be great to worship with you.  Come and welcome Little Juniper into the family of Christ!

We will be taking the Noisy Collection on Sunday for the Strengthen the Church Offering, which we will also take next Sunday.  What’s Strengthen the Church?  Strengthen the Church is one of the 5 United Church of Christ offerings that we take every year.  The Strengthen the Church Offering reflects the commitment of all settings of the United Church of Christ to cooperatively buildup the UCC. The funds raised support leadership development,new churches, youth ministry, and innovation in existing congregations.

After worship we will be putting together a prayer blanket.  At 2:30, Pastor Joseph will be leading worship at Murrysville Redstone Highlands.  

We are collecting in honor of Mother’s Day for the Greensburg Shelter Welcome Home .  We are looking for shampoo, body wash, personal items (but no toothpaste, they have plenty of that!)  Thanks!

Thursday night is the SWAP (Stewardship/Worship/and Programming) meeting at church.  We will meet starting at 7 with Pizza and then the meeting.  We will be done by 8:30.  Please email the pastor at hills.church.3618@gmail.com so we know how much pizza to get.  

Sunday, May 28, 2023 is not only Memorial Day Weekend but also Pentecost.  Wear red, the church’s color for Pentecost.  We will be sharing communion (wafers and grape juice), taking the Strengthen the Church Offering, and hearing the good Word of God.
