Weekly Update July 8, 2022 — “Mucking a byre” (Cleaning a stable)

Friends and Members of Emmanuel Church,  It’s a humid morning on God’s hill!

We have a great line up of summer events for you and your families.

This Sunday I will be preaching on 1 Peter Chapter 1 with a sermon title of “Mucking a byre” which is Scottish for “Cleaning a stable.”

Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. is Bible Study.  We are studying the book of Ezekiel.

Wednesday is Consistory at 7 p.m.

Looking ahead:

Pastor Joseph has tickets for a Quilt Raffle to benefit Camp Living Waters.  Tickets are 10 per piece and a picture of the quilt is on the bulletin board in the Steele Building.

August 17, 5-8 p.m.  Neighborhood Block Party with a Food Truck, desserts, face painting for the kids and balloon animals! You will need cash for the food truck.  We are having a planning meeting for this event and for Spooky Stroll (October 22) on July 20 at church at 7 p.m.
Grace and Peace,

Pastor Joseph
