Dear Members and Friends of Emmanuel Church,
It’s a gorgeous autumn morning on God’s hill!
This Sunday is worship at 10:15 a.m. We will be continuing the preaching series, “What’s in a Name?”
I will be doing something I rarely have a chance to do this Sunday, I will be preaching one one whole book of the Bible. The lesson this Sunday comes from the book of Ruth, which is four chapters long, so it makes for a compact sermon.
After worship we are calling a quick congregational meeting to inform folks about some needed minor repairs. The official congregational meeting for these repairs will be October 27th, 2019 after worship. So please stick around this Sunday for a couple of moments.
Sunday afternoon is the CROP walk starting at 1:30 p.m. I will be walking, so please sponsor me in the name of Emmanuel Church. Also, Sunday night at 6 p.m. is youth group.
This Week at a glance:
Monday–Choir at 7 p.m.
Tuesday–Bible Study at 10 a.m.
Thursday–Transformation Task Force–a task force initiated by Consistory to answer the 200th Anniversary Questions–“To whom is Emmanuel Church called to minister?” and “What types of ministries are we called by God to do?” This Task Force will meet monthly until May. If you would like to serve, talk to Pastor Joseph.
Friday–Spooky Stroll Set up
Saturday–Trunk or Treat. 4 to 6 (See below).
