Good morning friends and members of Emmanuel Church!
The first full day of Spring has arrived here on God’s hill!
We are just about 1/2 way through Lent and this Sunday, March 24th, we are adding a wine glass to our Lenten desert display in the sanctuary. The theme for this Sunday is Jesus’ Parable of the Wedding Banquet in Matthew 22.
On Wednesday, March 27th, we will have our second Mid-Week Cluster Service on The Sermon of the Mount: The Secret of Happiness. We will be meeting at Denmark Manor at 12:00. We will have a worship service and light luncheon. Our Final Cluster Service will be on Wednesday, April 10 at First UCC Harrison City at 7 p.m. with a service of Holy Communion, followed by refreshments.
We are making plans for our 200th Anniversary and are having a “Sweet Memories” event on March 31, after worship. Some of the events we talk about will make up the material for a special Anniversary book, being edited by Amanda Bank and written by Pastor Joseph. Goodies from the Funky Chicken Bakery will be on hand.
