Weekly Update — November 4, 2018. All Saints Sunday.

Good morning friends and members of Emmanuel Church,

It is partly cloudy and beautiful up on God’s hill.

This Saturday, November 3 at 4 p.m., City and Kingdom Pittsburgh will meet at the New Meadow Run Bruderhof for a tour and community supper.  Our hosts will give us a tour of their workshops, community spaces, gardens, kitchen, and discussion with community members.  We will sit down with the community for supper at 6:30 p.m. and should be heading home around 8.

Please contact me if you have interest (either respond to this email or give me a call!) so I can give a rough count to our hosts.

This Sunday, November 4th, we will honor a very ancient tradition of remembering the members and friends of Emmanuel Church who have died in the last 12 months.   We will hear the words of comfort from scripture and celebrate Holy Communion.  After worship, all are invited to the Steele building for our covered dish.  Also: remember the clocks change this weekend.

You are encouraged to bring your non-perishable food items to church now though November 18th (Harvest Home Sunday) for the Westmoreland County Food Bank.

Schedule for the Week:
Monday night at 7 pm.     Choir
Tuesday at 10 a.m.         Bible Study
Sunday, November 11    Worship & Veteran’s Day.

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Joseph
