Good morning friends and Members of Emmanuel Church,
It’s an overcast morning on God’s hill!
Sunday, July 29th marks the last Sunday of the month but also a new theme in worship. We will begin a series on the book of Psalms called: The Modern Psalm. It will last through August 26th and will look at our life from all sides–in the book of Psalms there is every human emotion; grief, anger, praise, hope, praise, love, loss, worry, concern and joy. We will discuss how to deal with emotions using the Book of Psalms during this series.
Looking ahead: Wednesday Evening is the Prayer Angels at 7 p.m. We will pray for 2 blanket recipients and will make 2 blankets, as well as pray for the congregation.
Next Sunday: August 5: Holy Communion and The Modern Psalm.
Wednesday, August 8th: Consistory at 7 p.m.
Wednesday August 15th at 7 p.m.: Confirmation 2018-2019 organizational meeting for Confirmation youth and their parents. (12 years old by May of 2019 is the recommended age)
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Joseph
Looking Ahead: Church Picnic & Export Ethnic Food and Music Festival

On that same day (!), we will be hosting a booth at the Export Ethnic Food and Music Festival from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. We will be looking for people to sign up in approximately 1 hour blocks.
