Good morning friends and Members of Emmanuel Church,
It’s a beautiful morning up on God’s hill!
You are in for a special treat this Sunday, June 24th. Our 198th Annual Homecoming is this week. The message will be about Mary Magdalene’s encounter with the Risen Jesus in John 20. Linda has some special resurrection music picked out for us. And, in addition to communion and a sermon, we will be joined in music leadership by three members of Franklin Regional’s Panther Marching Band! These are three of the same folks that marched in the Inaugural Parade, representing Pennsylvania and will be marching at Macy’s for Thanksgiving 2019.
Following worship, there will be a fellowship hour with hot dogs, shredded barbeque chicken and drinks provided. Please bring a side dish to pass!
June 25 to June 28: Vacation Bible School. “Ocean Wonders” 6 to 8 p.m. We will be having children and adult lessons this year for the first time. If you are a parent/grandparent and would like to be part of a class, we will meet in the pastor’s study. For the children, there will be a lesson, songs, games, and a snack.
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Joseph
