June 15 Weekly Update

Good morning friends and Members of Emmanuel Church,

It’s a beautiful Friday morning up on God’s hill!

Tonight is Parent’s Night Out–The children will be watching the movie “The Star” and have some related activities and food.  Time is 6 to 9 p.m.  Suggested donation is 5 dollars.  For more information, the Facebook event is here.

Tomorrow morning is City and Kingdom Pittsburgh–which is our ecumenical Christian conversation that we have been having for about 6 months.   Pastor Joseph convenes this group and you are invited to come along, from 10 to 12 tomorrow.  More information is on the Plough Website.

This Sunday, June 17, we will be celebrating Worship with the Blessed Be Educators and the Noisy Collection.  Bring your change to support our children’s ministry.  We will also welcome to our fellowship Meredith and Bill Hutchison!

June 24:  198th Homecoming Service with Holy Communion. There will be food after the service and you are invited to bring a dish to pass.  Main dishes (hot dogs and shredded chicken) are provided.

June 25 to June 28:  Vacation Bible School.  6 to 8 p.m.  We will be having children and adult lessons this year for the first time.  See Heather Clark if you would like to volunteer.

Grace and Peace,Pastor Joseph
