October 7, 2017 — Weekly Update

Dear friends and members of Emmanuel Church,

We are in a Sermon Series from the Gospel of John.  This Sunday, Pastor Joseph will be preaching from John Chapter 4:43-54, which is an amazing story about Jesus doing a healing where he wasn’t even present!

Worship is at 10:15 a.m.  Adult Sunday School is at 9.  The choir will be singing and we will offer prayer for our community and nation and world.

As the song says, “The times they are a changin’”  Around Emmanuel there have been some changes as well.  Using building fund moneys, the carpets in the pastor’s office and the main office have been replaced, along with a substantial amount of new furniture.  This means that we have three desks we can offer to our members:  a steel desk that used to be for the Christian Education Coordinator, a classic wooden CEO type of desk, and a more modern, particleboard desk that would be perfect for a child’s room or a dorm room.  Ask Pastor Joseph for details.

Gearhard Farms Hayride–October 15th at 2 p.m.

Family event will cost 13 dollars per person.  This includes a hayride, camp fire, hot dog roast, apple cider, smores and corn maze.  Talk to Heather Clark for more information.

Messy Church/Trunk or Treat–October 21 from 3- 5p.m.

This is a neighborhood event with crafts, food, fun and decorated cars.  We are currently looking for people to cook and for people to decorate their cars.  This is a great way to interact with the Murrysville/Export Community.
