This Sunday: “Midwives, Bus Drivers, and Janitors”
Dear Friends and Members of Emmanuel Church,
It is a hot, humid day up on God’s hill!!!
Sunday’s Sermon is entitled “Midwives, Bus Drivers, and Janitors.” It is based on Acts 8:26-39–Philip the Evangelist and his encounter with an Ethiopian who wants to know more about Jesus. It is also our Noisy Collection Sunday.
After worship, the Prayer Angels will meet to uplift our congregation and friends in prayer.
Starting Monday June 19 to Thursday June 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. is our Vacation Bible School! The Theme is: LEGOLAND ADVENTURE VBS–BUILDING OUR FAITH IN GOD! There is NO registration fee. (However, we will be collecting FOOD ITEMS, TOOTHPASTE (family size) & TOILET PAPER(4 pack or larger) You can find our registration form on the church website here.
Tuesday, June 20: Worship Committee Meets at 9 a.m. Bible Study at 10 a.m.
Sunday, June 25. 197th Homecoming Worship: Sunday School for adults at 9 a.m.
10:15 a.m. Communion & Guest Speaker, Rev. Dr. William J. Hisker, St. Vincent College.
After worship, Hot Dogs and Beverages are provided. Bring a Covered Dish to Share!!!!!
