Dear Friends and Members of Emmanuel Church,
Did you know that Jesus, too, preached an inaugural message?
In Luke Chapter 4, we read that Jesus went to his hometown synagogue in Nazareth and proceeded to offer his first sermon–and it took Nazareth by storm! “Jesus’ inaugural sermon” will be the theme for our worship on Sunday, January 22 at 10:15 a.m.
We will also be meeting with the Prayer (Blanket) Angels on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the church. We have two blankets to make: These are our 32nd and 33rd blankets, respectively! Way to go!!!! What a great way to offer God’s healing.
Choir meets Monday night, January 23rd at 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 24th is Bible Study at 10 a.m. Sunday, January 29th is Worship at 10:15 with the Adjourned Congregational Meeting immediately after worship in the Steele Building. Please bring a dish to pass.
