Dear Friends and Members of Emmanuel Church,
It’s a beautiful, humid, midsummer morning up on God’s Hill!
This Sunday, August 14, we will be wrestling with the images of the end of history in Luke 12. The Vanilla/Chocolate/Swirl ice cream fundraiser follows worship.
Tuesday Morning is Bible Study at 10 a.m. The topic is the Paul’s Letter to the Romans and we are concentrating on Chapters 9-11.
Saturday, August 20th is the Westmoreland Association Ducky Tour. Cost is $22 per ticket. Carpooling is available. We will meet at 10 a.m. at the Ducky Kiosk next to the Hard Rock Cafe in Station Square. Call me, 412-956-5252, for more information or check out the Facebook Page here. Carpooling is available.
August 21 will be worship at 10:15. I will be preaching on 2 Samuel 7–about King David’s desire to build a Temple for God to live in. The Joyful Noise Collection will be that Sunday in worship with the children and Prayer Angels will meet on Sunday evening at 6 p.m. for two blankets.
“It’s a Wonderful Life”–On Friday, August 26th, we are going to the Jimmy Stewart Museumand out to lunch in Indiana, PA. Cost is 8 dollars or 7 dollars for seniors and military. We will car pool and be leaving the church at about 9:15 a.m.

YOU ALL ARE MAKING ME SO HOMESICK. WHAT WONDERFUL EVENTS. I AM SO GLAD TO GET THESE NEWS UPDATES. MY DAUGHTER WANTS TO TAKE ME BACK FOR THE WONDERFUL OCT. EVENT—THE GERMAN AND CEMETARY TOUR. OUR FAMILY HOME AND CAR HAS BEEN SOLD BUT THAT DOESN’T MATTER. WE HAVEN’T COMMITTED YET DUE TO SOME HEALTH CONCERNS.
