Adult Sunday School will meet this Sunday, October 11th at 9 a.m. Worship is at 10:15 with a sermon about how Jesus is the Word of God. After worship is the CROP Walk to defeat hunger, starting at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church.
On Sunday afternoon, at 3 p.m., is our annual Hayride at Gearhard farms. We meet at 3, walk the cornmaze, ride out into the field, and share hot dogs and smores over a campfire. Cost is $10 per person. We anticipate being done at around 6 p.m.
Monday night October 12 is Choir at 7.
Tuesday morning is Bible Study at 10 a.m. We are studying the Gospel of Mark.
Next Sunday: October 18 is our Noisy Collection Sunday and Prayer Angels Meeting. Prayer Angels meet to pray for all congregation members and friends with a special focus on those who have been diagnosed with cancer. It starts at 6 p.m. All are welcome to join in this important ministry.
October 24th is our Fall Festival Party, with Trunk or Treat. Deck out your Trunk and put some treats in it and we will send the children of the church out to ‘Trunk or Treat’ you in a fun environment. There will be Halloween games, a costume parade, snacks and fun. Party starts at 4.
As outreach, a few of us on Saturday, October 31 will be at the church handing out candy to passers by during Murrysville Trick or Treat from 6 to 8 p.m. Talk to Pastor Joseph if you have candy you can donate or if you would like to help out.
