spring salad luncheon

Hello friends and members of Emmanuel Church,

Sunday, May 3 we have worship at 10:15 a.m.Our Core Discipleship Theme for worship and 9 a.m. Bible Study is “Church.”  We will hear Jesus talk about ‘abiding’ in his love and bearing fruit for him in John 15:1-8.  The children’s class, after learning last week about the Good Shepherd, will be learning about vines and branches.  After worship, we will have our Philippine cook off, with members bringing some Filipino dishes to try.  (Bring anything you like–it doesn’t have to be a Filipino dish).  We will also celebrate May birthdays and anniversaries.

Monday is Choir at 7 p.m.  Come on over and have fun singing to the glory of God!

Tuesday, May 5th at 10 a.m., we will have our next Bible Study.  We are just starting a book that is not in Protestant Bibles called 1 Maccabees, which tells us some of the history shortly before Jesus was born.

The Spring Salad Luncheon is on Wednesday, May 6th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Tickets are $6.50.

The National Day of Prayer is on Thursday, May 7th at the Export American Legion at 7 p.m.  We pray and sing songs.  Emmanuel and 18 other churches are participating this year.
