Tomorrow (Saturday, April 25th) at 9 a.m. we will gather at church for PA Cleanways to pick up trash from Hill’s Church road at Old 22 to the edge of the cemetery. Anyone is invited to come. Dress for the weather and join us!
After that our Core Discipleship Programis Saturday, April 25th at 10 a.m. We will deal with some Discipleship issues, particularly some practical prayer ‘tips.’ Plan on being there! On Sunday, we have worship at 10:15 a.m.Our Core Discipleship Theme for worship and 9 a.m. Bible Study is “Church.” The Bible verses for this Sunday are Acts 6:1-7 and John 10:11-18, where Jesus talks about being the Good Shepherd. It is very appropriate that we talk about Church and the Good Shepherd on this day because we have two special church events: we will base our worship off the worship of our parters in the Philippines and we will celebrate the Baptism of Cameron Carmichael. After worship, bring a dish to pass, finger foods, dessert, etc. to share with the Carmichael family in the Steele Building in celebration.
On Tuesday, April 28 at 10 a.m., we will have our next Bible Study. We are just starting a book that is not in Protestant Bibles called 1 Maccabees, which tells us some of the history shortly before Jesus was born.
