This week’s Core Discipleship Theme: FAITHFULNESS!
Core Discipleship, Annual Meeting, Choir & Bible Study
Theme Verse for FAITHFULNESS this week:
Proverbs 3:3-4
Do not let loyalty and faithfulness forsake you;
bind them round your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favour and good repute
in the sight of God and of people.

FAITHFULNESS
As part of the Core Discipleship 10-10-10 Program, Pastor Joseph is leading an in depth study on the theme of FAITHFULNESS on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Hill’s Church. We will also evaluate the effectiveness of “The Jesus Prayer.” Afterwards, there will be an optional opportunity to go out to lunch at a local restaurant. I hope to see you there!
Sunday, January 25th
Worship & Annual Congregational Meeting
Sunday morning begins with Bible Study at 9 a.m., continuing the theme of FAITHFULNESS. Worship is at 10:15 a.m. with the same theme. The Sermon is from Mark Chapter 1, Jesus’ call to the first disciples. After worship will be the annual congregational meeting to discuss the year end reports and to receive the 2015 Budget. Please bring a dish to pass.

Bible Study: Lost Books of the Bible
Tuesday morning is Bible Study at 10 a.m. We gather for fellowship and study books as requested by the group. On Tuesday, we start a new subject–the books of the Bible that are accepted by other Christians (Orthodox or Roman Catholic) but are not in Protestant Bibles. We’ll start on Tuesday with the Book of Tobit.
Sunday, February 1st
Worship: Boy Scout Sunday, Souper Bowl Sunday, Baptism & Communion
We have a full agenda for this upcoming first Sunday of the month. We will share in the celebration of the sacraments: baptism and communion. We will also have our friends from the Boy and Cub Scouts with us. We will round out our theme of FAITHFULNESS, moving on to a new Core Discipleship theme next week.
Plan on bringing an item for the Food Bank or money for the Food Bank Offering, which the Sunday School will be taking at the close of worship.
Bring a non-cream soup to for the Fellowship Hour after worship and we will make a version of “Stone Soup” to share with all our friends. Or bring a favorite dish!
