Good morning friends and members of Emmanuel Church,

Sunday morning is worship at 10:15 a.m.    The theme is Matthew 10:24-39 (not an easy passage to preach on! In it Jesus says, “Whoever loves father and mother more than me is not worthy of me.”! I will do my best . . . ) The sermon title is “School’s Out!”

Vacation Bible School is scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.  The message is how God transforms us into superheroes! We will look at how three figures from the Bible were transformed by God: Samson, King David, and Esther.  If you are volunteering or are interested, I am inviting anyone to come to church on Monday night at 5:30 p.m. to get set up but to also have a time of prayer for a good run of VBS.  We will begin with prayer for those who can make it promptly at 5:30.

Next Sunday is our 194th Homecoming Service and Celebration.  Worship is at 10:15 with a special theme on our partner church, Exodus UCCP, in the Philippines!  Come and hear what God is doing with our overseas friends.  Worship will include communion.  After worship is a social hour with chicken and drink provided.  Please bring a dish to pass.
