Trinity Sunday
Good morning friends and members of Emmanuel Church,
We have some great events coming up in the next couple of weeks! First off, Sunday is our Special Worship event where we will share in a continental breakfast downstairs (this is an informal service, you are encouraged to eat while worship is going on). Donations of simple breakfast items are welcome. Shawn Hanks and I will be providing some special music–some old gospel favorites with some new things peppered in. Our Noisy Collection will be this Sunday and with it we will be helping to sponsor a Filipina Seminary Student. See me for more information.
Next week: June 16 to 20 is the Patriot Camp in the mornings. Although this is sponsored by an outside group, please note that this is a big event that takes over most of the church campus for the week. Come on by and take pictures or drop in and see us.
June 23, 24, 25: Vacation Bible School. 6-8 p.m. The theme this year is God’s Superheroes. Here’s the schedule:
Day One—Judges 15:14—“The Spirit of the Lord rushed on him.” The Story of Samson
Day Two—1 Samuel 17:40—“David took his staff in his hand, chose five smooth stones from the stream, put them in the pouch of his shepherd’s bag . . . .” David and Goliath
Day Three—Ester 4:14—“For Such a Time As This” Esther saves the Jewish people.

Homecoming Sunday–June 29th at 10:15 a.m. Worship will have a presentation about our partner church in the Philippines. And you are invited to bring a covered dish for the meal afterward. There is a sign up sheet on the office door or talk to Carolyn Graham on Sunday who will have the sign up sheet with her.
