Good morning friends and members of Emmanuel Church!
Tonight, Thursday, June 5th is Our Vacation Bible School Planning meeting. We will meet at 7 p.m. and talk about roles, responsibilities, as well as being introduced to this year’s theme. Dates for Vacation Bible School are June 23, 24, and 25 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Sunday, June 8th in Penteocst Sunday–where we celebrate God giving us his Holy Spirit. Wear red because red is the tradtional color of the Holy Spirit. We will also be taking the Strengthen the Church offering. Strengthen the Church goes to support local churches at the grass roots level. This is an important offering to support because Conferences may use up to 50% of this offering for work within the Conference. This means that a significant portion of your offering is used in Western Pennsylvania and Western Maryland. More information is available here.
The Women’s Guild is offering a Flea Market bag sale ($2.00 a bag) on Saturday, June 14 from 9 a.m. to Noon.
Sunday, June 15th is a Special Summer Worship in the Dining Hall Downstairs. There will be Continental Breakfast and we hope that you can bring something along. The time for worship is 10:15 a.m.
Emmanuel Church is Celebrating its 194th Homecoming with Holy Communion on June 29th at 10:15 a.m. In addition, you are invited to bring a dish to pass for the meal afterward. Chicken and beverage will be provided.
