Dear Friends and Members of Emmanuel Church,
Tonight is the Mid-Week Lenten Service at Apollo Church. Our host is our own Ryan Lucas, who is serving there as their lay pastor. Preaching will be the Rev. John Titus. The offering, as in every Mid-Week Lenten Service will be split three equal ways: 1/3 for Typhoon Relief in the Philippines, 1/3 for Lancaster Theological Seminary, and 1/3 for the Westmoreland County Food Bank.
Sunday worship is at 10:15 and the sermon is about the man born blind in John Chapter 9. The sermon title is: “Who is Whole?”
Next Tuesday, April First, is our April Fool’s Day Bar Be Que Benefit Dinner to Benefit the Youth and Children’s Ministry of the Church. Time is from 5 to 7. Cost is $8. Children under 5 are free.
Sunday, April 6 is the Westmoreland Association 2014 Spring meeting at Apollo. The meeting
starts at 3:00 with registration, 3:30 with Gathering Worship and Program on Stewardship. Dinner is at 5 p.m. The cost for the dinner is $10 and you pay at the door but you must make a reservation in advance. If you would like to RSVP, contact Wendy Bigelow’s email: wbigelow (at) comcast.net.
