Good morning friends and members of Emmanuel Church,
Happy New Year!
I hope that wherever you are celebrating that you are with your loved ones and have had some time to thank God for the many blessings we’ve received.
Many thanks to the staff and volunteers who worked so hard on Christmas Eve and for the Children’s Program last Sunday! It was good to worship with all of you!
This Saturday, January 4th–Program Committee leading a field trip to the Christmas Story House in Cleveland. We will be carpooling and will meet at the church at 8 a.m. We will visit the house in the morning and visit the Westside Market for lunch. Admission for the Christmas Story House is $10.
Sunday, January 5th–Epiphany Worship (Visit of the Three Wise Men) with Communion at 10:15 a.m. After worship, we will have our covered dish for the first Sunday of the month, along with recognition of January birthdays and anniversaries. We will also need help to take down the Christmas decorations.
Monday, January 6th–Choir practice resumes.
Tuesday, January 7th–Bible Study at 10 a.m.
Wednesday, January 8th–Consistory holds its first meeting of 2014. New officers will be elected.
Thursday, January 9th–Year End Reports are due and February Newsletter Deadline.
