Hello Members and Friends of Emmanuel Church,

This Sunday is Confirmation for Adults at 9 a.m.  We will be studying the Rev. David Ackerman’s new book, Beyond the Lectionary.  All are welcome!    Worship is at 10:15 a.m. and the sermon is “The Tough Conversations” in regards to prayer.  We are still collecting for St. Paul’s Homes Christmas in July–please bring in items for the retirement home that we can share with the residents.  A full list can be found in this week’s bulletin.

A couple of reminders:

Sunday night is our MOOK (Meaningfully Obeying Our King) Bible Study on Evangelism.  We will meet at church at 6 p.m.

On Friday, September 13, a group outing to attend a Pirates game is planned.  It is free T-shirt Firday as well as a replica Roberto Clemente jersey.  Box seats in the Outfield are $25 each.  Tell (and invite) your friends!

Tickets are now on sale for Emmanuel’s First Invitational Event.  The event is entitled “Take Back Your Family’s Schedule” and will be on Wednesday, September 18th at Hoss’s at 6:30 p.m.  Tickets are sold in packs of two only for $30.  Talk to the Pastor if you are interested in attending with a guest.
