Happy Flag Day to you! I hope you will observe it in your own way and find meaning in the holiday.
Today we are wrapping up the visit of Patriot Camp here at the church, where the Patriots and Founders Group of PA participates in educational events and re-enactments from the days of our Founding Fathers. This morning we have been visited by George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin!
Sunday morning, June 16 is Father’s Day. Worship will deal with Luke 7:36 and following; the woman with the alabaster jar who washes Jesus’ feet.
Mark your calendar for Vacation Bible School from June 24 to 26 (Monday to Wednesday) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Our theme is serving others and we have some surprises for the children. Talk to Trista Lucas, Christian Education Director, if you wish to volunteer or to register your children. The link is available to the right, email the office.
On June 30th, we will be celebrating our 193rd Anniversary as a congregation. We will have a historical sermon with a visit from one of our previous pastors, Jacob Snyder (who served Emmanuel Reformed from 1867 to 1902), and a covered dish to follow worship. Chicken, beverage and cake are provided. Bring your side dishes to celebrate!
