Hello friends and members of Hills Church,
Tomorrow, Friday, May 17th, begins our Attic Treasures sale in the Lower Level of the Steele Fellowship Building from 3 to 7 and continues on Saturday, May 18th from 8-12. A bag sale of $2 a bag will take place from 11-12. The sale is sponsored by the Women’s Guild and the proceeds go toward cemetery maintenance.
Sunday is Pentecost, when we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit coming into our midst. We will celebrate with a service of Communion.
Our Christian Education director will be taking a few weeks off for maternity leave and in her absence the Sunday morning lesson will be done by Jennifer Hedden–please talk to her if you can help out. We could use a couple of extra volunteers during Trista’s time off.
Our Bible Study MOOK (Meaningfully Obeying Our King) will be gathering on Sunday, June 2 at 6 p.m. at Denmark Manor United Church of Christ. We have opened this Bible Study up to all interested parties and the theme is “What is God calling us, as a church, to do?”
