Good morning friends and members of Hills Church,
Spring is here! We’ve had some very nice weather and some rain as well. We are well on our way to planning for the late/spring and summer.
Sunday’s Service celebrates Mother’s Day! The sermon is one of an occasional series on stewardship and is titled “Treasure.” I hope you can join us and hear about the relationship between the Lord of all life and our worldly treasures.
Looking ahead:
Our Attic Treasures sale continues in the Lower Level of the Steele Fellowship Building on Friday May 17th from 3 to 7 and Saturday, May 18th from 8-12. A bag sale of $2 a bag will take place from 11-12. The sale is sponsored by the Women’s Guild and the proceeds go toward cemetery maintenance.
Our Bible Study MOOK (Meaningfully Obeying Our King) will be gathering on Sunday, June 2 at 6 p.m. at Denmark Manor United Church of Christ. We have opened this Bible Study up to all interested parties and the theme is “What is God calling us, as a church, to do?”
Put Vacation Bible School on your calendars–June 24, 25 & 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. We are always looking for Adult Volunteers to help us run games, crafts and snacks. Contact Trista Lucas if interested.
Camp Living Waters is taking registrations for summer camp. Again this year, Jennifer and I will be leading 3rd and 4th Grade Camp from July 14-20th.
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Joseph
