Hello Friends of Emmanuel Reformed Church,
Christmastime is almost here and we are counting down the days to remembering our Lord’s birth!
On Saturday, December 15th, we will gather at the church at 10:30 a.m. to go Christmas Caroling to our retirement home members and shut ins. We should be out no more than 2 hours. Everyone is welcome to come and brighten someone’s day!!!!
Sunday morning is Worship at 10:15. The sermon is based on John the Baptist in Luke, Chapter 3. The sermon title is: “Worst-Dressed List”. We will be taking our noisy collection this Sunday as well. It will be going to Team Forever, headed by Darren Miller to benefit pediatric heart patients and their families. If you are not familiar with Darren and his story, check out his website here. After Worship is a congregational meeting to discuss Consistory for 2013.
Monday night is our Living Advent Wreath unwrapping at 6 p.m. with hot drinks, cookies, and carols.
Choir is Monday at 7 p.m.
Sunday, December 23rd is the Fourth Sunday in Advent, the Christmas Choir Cantata entitled “Behold that Star!” and the Baptism of Aria Lynn Dulaney.
Worship for Christmas Eve is at 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. Both services have communion.
