Good afternoon friends and members of Emmanuel Church,
This Sunday is worship with a meditation on 1 Kings 3–Solomon’s prayer to God. The sermon title is: “The Best Kind of Prayer.” Immediately following worship will be our very first meeting of the Stewardship Committee–anyone is invited to be part of the stewardship committee and to help us plan events for the future. At 2:30, I will be preaching at Redstone Highlands.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of Next Week is Vacation Bible School Part II: America’s Got Culture. The time is 6-9 p.m. On Wednesday night, we are having a special talent show/’share and tell’ time at 8 p.m. All are invited, either to enter the talent show or just come watch and spend some time with Emmanuel’s Great Kids.
REMINDER: Though it’s a way off yet, don’t forget to sign up for the Pirates game on September 29th. The game starts at 7:05 p.m. and we have reserved a bus for transportation–leaving from the church. Cost: $16 per adult and $5 per child. There is also a concert by Lifehouse and fireworks that night after the game. The deadline for reserving a spot is next Sunday. Talk to Trista for more information.
