Hello friends and members of Emmanuel Church,
It’s been a scorcher of a week here and we had a lot of activities to keep us busy in all this heat!
First of all, thanks to Trista Lucas and all the volunteers for the great Vacation Bible School Program: “Culture Shock.” We learned about mission overseas, about Jesus, baptism, peace and the Lord’s Prayer, in addition to many other things. Keep on the look out for Vacation Bible School, Part II on August 20, 21 + 22–which will help us focus on the transition from summer to school. Mark your calendars now!
This Sunday–is Emmanuel Reformed’s 192 Anniversary Homecoming. We will have worship with communion at 10:15 a.m. Following worship, we will meet in the Steele Educational Building with food, games and memories. The main dish, barbequed chicken, will be provided. Drinks are also provided. Bring a dish to share!
