Good morning friends and members of Emmanuel Church,
I hope that you are all out enjoying our taste of early summer weather.
This Sunday, May 20th, is the day we celebrate the Ascension of Jesus into heaven. (Ascension Day was yesterday.) Our worship will focus on the Lordship of Christ over all the universe. Plan on taking part!
The following Sunday is Pentecost Sunday–the birthday of the Christian Church. Plan on wearing red and we will celebrate communion. Since it is also Memorial Day, we will end our worship with a short ceremony at the War Memorial in the church’s front lawn.
