Good morning friends,
Easter is just around the corner at Emmanuel Reformed Church. But before we get
there we have a few other things we need to take note of:
Tonight is the Maundy Thursday Service in the Steele Fellowship Building. We
will start at 6:30 p.m. and have a light supper. Worship with communion will
follow. On Maundy Thursday, we remember Jesus’ last few actions in his earthly
life.
Tomorrow night’s theme for Good Friday is “Many Crosses, One Jesus.” Service
starts at 7:30. We will be studying what the cross means for my life today.
Easter Sunday begins early at 6:30 a.m with the Sunrise Service in the
Graveyard. It is a community service and leadership is shared between Hill’s,
Newlonsburg Presbyterian, First United Methodist, and Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
Two festive Easter services with communion follow the sunrise service–8 a.m.
and 10:15 a.m. Of course, don’t forget the Easter breakfast from 7 to 10 in the
church fellowship hall. If you can help out, we’d love to see you then!
I’m sure we will see each other a lot in the next few days and know that in
between sermon preparation, etc. I will be keeping you, your family, and Hill’s
Church in my prayers. Please continue to pray for Hill’s Church and her
ministry during this most holy of weeks.
Blessings to you.
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Joseph

WHAT HAPPENED TO April 1ST sermon?
The Choir sang their choir program, so there was no sermon on April 1st.
