Tonight, March 21 is the Mid-week service at First Church in Apollo. I will be preaching on John 1 and the title is “Sgt. Pepper.” Service starts at 7:30–with refreshments to follow.
Sunday, March 25th is our 5th Sunday in Lent at Hill’s. We are continuing our series “The Power of Kingdom Living” with a text from 2 Kings 22 about the female prophet Huldah.
At 6:30 on Sunday night is our small group meeting at church, Emmanuel’s Emergent Experience. We’ll have snacks, a song or two and a short Bible study.
Next week on Wednesday March 28th we will be hosting the last of our Lenten Cluster Services at Hill’s. The Cluster Choir will sing, Rev. John Titus is preaching, and we will have communion with our new Interim Conference Minister, Char Burch. Since Hill’s is hosting, we need your help with finger food donations for that evening. There’s a sign up sheet in the office.
Saturday, March 31–Blood Drive 9 to 3. We need donors so talk to your family and friends.
Sunday, April 1st–Palm Sunday and Choir Easter Cantata at the 10:15 service.
Thursday, April 5–Maundy Thursday meal and communion service. The evening starts at 6:30 p.m.
Friday, April 6–Good Friday service at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, April 8–
Early Community Service in the Cemetery–6:30 a.m.
8:00 a.m.–Easter Service with Communion
10:15 a.m.–Later Easter Service with Communion.
(Remember the Easter Breakfast as well–from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. We are looking for volunteers and donations.)
