Sunday is the second in our series of “The Power of Kingdom Living” which seeks
to discover how to live faithful lives in our 9 to 5 world. We’ll be looking at
a man from Acts 21 in the Bible who is only mentioned in 1 verse! His name is
Mnason (the m is silent and it rhymes with Jason) and the title of the sermon
is, fittingly, “Obscurity.” Come and find out why obscurity might be a good
thing! Worship is at 10:15.
Following worship is our first of the month luncheon. Bring a dish to pass.
Along with regular lunch selections, we’ll be supplemented with some recipes
from the Philippines–along with a short presentation regarding our Partner
Church–The United Church of Christ in the Philippines.
Monday Evening is an informational meeting at 6:30 p.m. for those interested in
helping out for the March Blood Drive–Sat. March 31 . We’re looking for people
to meet and greet, as well as promote the Blood Drive with fliers, door to door,
etc. If you have the time and interest, please join us on Monday night as we
get the professional training from the Central PA Blood Bank.
Tuesday is Bible Study. The Book of Acts in the topic. 10 a.m. is the start
time.
Wednesday night is the mid-week Lenten Service at 7:30 p.m. at Trinity Church in
Delmont. Host pastor is Richard Lindsay-Bignell.
Next Sunday, March 11 is a treat. Ryan Lucas will be preaching his first sermon
with us. Ryan is our Member in Discernment and student in the Penn West Academy
for Ministry. He will be preaching on the 10 Commandments.
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Joseph
