Good morning friends and members of Emmanuel Reformed Church,
This Friday is the young person’s lock-in and sleep over from 8 p.m to 8 a.m.
We will begin the evening with devotions and a snack. We will have movies and
games and video games to share. If you would like to come for part of the
evening, and then go home, that’s fine too! Hope to see you then.
Sunday morning worship is the last Sunday before Lent. The lesson will be about
the prophet Elijah and the “Chariot of Fire” that took him to heaven.
Next week–February 22–is Ash Wednesday Service at 7:30 p.m. A full schedule
for the mid-week Lenten Services will be available on the website shortly.
Starting on February 26th, we will begin a six-week sermon series for Lent
called: “The Power of Kingdom Living.” We will look at some lesser known parts
of the Bible and how folks lived their lives with God as #1. Bring your Bible
to church, cause you may have to search a little for some of the more obscure
figures.
At 6:30 p.m. on Sunday February 26th is our Emmanuel Emergent Experience. We
are beginning a Six-session group study called: Who is Jesus? The Lucas’ will
be hosting this first one at the church but we are looking for hosts for the
next 5 sessions. They will all be on the last Sunday of the month.
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Joseph
