Good afternoon friends and members of Emmanuel Church,
Last Sunday we were blessed with a powerful worship experience and an expansion
of our fellowship! God has been very good to us.
This week the good news continues as we welcome the Cub Scouts from Pack 213 to
worship. They will lead us in worship by bringing in the Flags, leading us in
the Pledge of Allegiance and Cub Scout Motto, Oath, and Law. The sermon lesson
for this Sunday focuses on the miracles of Jesus in Mark Chapter 1. A
collection for the Westmoreland County Food bank will be taken at the end of the
service to commemorate ‘Souper-Bowl Sunday.’ And to top off the day, we will be
celebrating communion with our Lord and each other.
Reminder: February 12th is the Sweetheart Dinner after worship. You are invited
to come and take part. The main dish of pasta will be provided and you can come
with either donation to the meal or a side dish/dessert.
The Young Person’s lock-in is scheduled from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. Check with Trista
or Pastor Joseph for more info.
Looking ahead: The Philippines partnership gets its grand kick-off on Sunday,
March 4th. We are inviting YOU to make something from the Philippines (recipes
in the church office).
