Sunday’s worship was very powerful. We began with the Ordination and Installation of the New Consistory members. We then had a re-affirmation of Baptism based on the New Year’s Covenant Service of John Wesley. We ended the service with a celebration of the Lord’s Supper.
Baptism was the theme around which the sermon was crafted. The scripture for that morning was Mark 1:4-11, Mark’s account of Jesus’ baptism. I begin and end the service with remarks about two of the more memorable baptisms I’ve conducted over the years and how the Spirit moved in each one.
