Good morning friends and members of Emmanuel Church,
Tonight is the Murrysville Night of Lights! There will be events at the Town
Square in Murrysville, across the street from Ferri’s Supermarket, from 6 to 8
p.m. Events include: crafts for the kids, a visit from St. Nicholas, caroling,
Santa’s arrival, lighting the town tree and many others! I am still hoping
you’ll come out and join me for some of the caroling for part of the evening.
Hope to see you there!
Sunday morning is the Second Sunday in Advent and we will be Dedicating New
Century Hymnals in memory of Maurice Sinan. After worship, we will be having
our annual Christmas Party. Plan on bringing a dish to pass and if you want
Santa to give your child/grandchild a present, please have it wrapped with the
child’s name on it. Bring your best singing voice, too, because we’re going to
sing some carols over the course of the party.
Saturday, December 10th at 10:30 a.m. is a meeting for folks who are interested
in joining with the Emmanuel Congregation. We will have some light refreshments
and a question and answer time about what it means to join with Emmanuel. It
will finish at about noon.
Next Sunday is the Assembly of the Fruit Baskets for the Shut ins. We will
deliver them that afternoon as we go caroling–we will order pizza for about
1:15 and start caroling at 2 p.m. If you would like to help carol and bring
some joy to Emmanuel’s homebound and retirement home residents, there is a sign
up sheet on the office door.
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Joseph
