Saturday at 11 a.m. is the Memorial Service for John Kuster. It will be held at
the church and a private interment will follow at a later time. Please join me
in upholding the Kuster family in prayer at this difficult time.
Tomorrow is Veteran’s Day. Please take some time out from your activities to
thank a Veteran or donate to a cause for veterans. We all need to remember this
time of year the sacrifices people in the military made (and continue to make)
in terms of their families, their economic status, their personal well being and
health.
Sunday Morning November 13th is Stewardship Sunday and the sermon is based on
Matthew 25:14-30. This is a challenging parable, if you haven’t read it
recently, I’d encourage you to do so. It’s a head-scratcher. In this
Thanksgiving Season, Stewardship is an excellent theme for us to discuss.
We are still collecting for our food drive–please bring in your items for
display in the sanctuary.
Next week:
Monday night–choir
Tuesday morning–Bible Study at 10 a.m.
Sunday, November 20th–Totenfest or Remembrance Sunday–We will remember those
who have died in the faith in the past 12 months. The Children’s Noisy
Collection will be taken that Sunday as well.
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Joseph
