Thursday Morning Update–September 15, 2011

Good morning friends of Emmanuel Church,

Tonight is MOOK–our small-group Bible Study, at the Norwalk Daily Grind Coffee
Shop at 7 p.m. We are going to begin a new unit, so now might be a time to join
up! Hope to see you there!

This Sunday’s Sermon is from Exodus 16–God feeding the Israelites in the
wilderness. The Sermon title is: “Recipe for God’s Reign.” Sunday is also
choir dedication and Noisy Collection. The Noisy Collection will be taken by the
children during the Children’s Time and will go to Camp Living Waters, Lancaster
Seminary, Christian Associates of PA, and ministry teams of the Conference. Our
goal is $200–because if every congregation in Penn West gave $200 all those
ministries would be fully funded at their 2012 level. So bring your coins!

Sunday, September 25th at 9:30 a.m. is a brief organizational meeting to plan
the Halloween Party, which will be held on Friday night October 28th. At 10:15
a.m. is worship with the Sacrament of Baptism.

On Sunday night, September 25th, Emmanuel’s Emergent Experience is at 6:30 p.m.
with a Coffee Hour and prayer 1 hour prior. The lesson is Colossians 2:
“Substance and Shadows”.

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Joseph
