Good Morning Friends of Emmanuel Church,
As we begin a new school year and end our summer vacations, we are gearing up
here at church for some new experiences.
On Sunday, September 4th, the sermon is entitled “No Harm, No Foul.” It is
based on Matthew 18:15-20. The theme of the sermon is Forgiveness.
After worship, we will have our covered dish and September birthday
celebrations. Following that, Shirley Veahman is going to talk with us about
her volunteer work with the Pet Adoption League in Yukon. You can find their

On Tuesday, September 6th at 10 a.m. is Bible Study. We haven’t picked a theme
yet–maybe Matthew or Deuteronomy or Acts? We’ll see you then!
On Saturday afternoon, there is the William Moutz and Danielle Gorbel wedding at
3:30.
Looking ahead two Sundays, on September 11 we will have Rally Sunday to kick off
our Christian Education program. We are looking for volunteers who could do a
lesson during worship every three or four weeks for the older children. (Say
ages 8-12 or so). If you are interested, please talk to Chris Ericson or
myself. We will also be offering prayers in memory of the 10th year since
9-11-2001.
