Good morning friends of Emmanuel Church, 
Tonight is the final night of our Vacation Bible School–“The Big Apple
Adventure.” All are invited to see the final program and share in some ice
cream. The program runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. I’d like to take a moment to
thank all the volunteers and Chris Ericson, for a fine program. I’d also like
to thank all of the folk who talked up VBS to your neighbors and friends because
attendance has been really great this yearand that is all due to YOUR enthusiasm
and willingness to talk up the program. Good job!
Next up: Sunday’s Schedule:
Sunday Morning–worship at 10:15 a.m. The theme is Isaiah 55–and the sermon
title is: “Water and Websites”
Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. I will be preaching at Redstone Highlands
Retirement Home.
Sunday evening is the Launch of “Emmanuel’s Emergent Experience.” 5:30 p.m. is
a time for gathering, coffee and prayer–an informal time for all. 6:30 p.m. is
the multi-media worship presentation: “Get Right With the Lord” based on
Colossians Chapter 1. This Emergent Experience is informal, and catered for
people who might call themselves ‘spiritual, but not religious.’ Pass the word
around!
