Hello friends of Emmanuel Reformed,
Blessings to you on this beautiful Thursday afternoon!
June Newsletters went out this week–and one note of clarification–those who
cannot make it to church will still get theirs by mail. We are no longer doing
the bulk mailing but are asking those who can to come and pick them up on Sunday
or during the week. But, if yours is left here (say you live far away or are on
vacation), you will still get it in the mail if you haven’t picked it up in a
while. I expect the first couple months of this new system will be confusing
but after a while we’ll get all the details worked out. Thanks in advance for
your patience!
paint the poles on the porch. You do not need to bring any equipment, just
yourself! We will begin at 9 a.m.
We want to let you know that this upcoming Sunday will be Education/Graduate
Sunday and we will be honoring our graduates and friends. Worship is at 10:15
with a covered dish afterward.
The Stewardship Committee will be meeting in the Pastor’s Study after worship
for a few minutes. This is not a set committee, this is just for folks who are
interested in the topics of stewardship.
Next Wednesday night is Consistory at 7 p.m.
Next Thursday night is MOOK (Meaningfully Obeying Our King) at the
Grind at 7 p.m. We will be discussing Christian Fiction with a story from
Flannery O’Connor and one short story that I’ve written. (If you want a copy of
either story and are coming Thursday, I’ll get you one.) Of course, you need
not have read either story to participate in the Bible Study/Discussion Group.
Blessings,
Pastor Joseph
