Good morning friends of Emmanuel Reformed,
Tonight is the National Day of Prayer observance at the Export American Legion
on Old William Penn Highway from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. This Day of Prayer dates
back to the Truman Administration and we will gather as pastors and lay people
to pray for our nation and its inhabitants. I will be co-leading prayers for
families. See you there!
Sunday is Mother’s Day and the sermon is based on one of the most touching
stories in the Bible–The Walk to Emmaus, when two of Jesus’ disciples encounter
him on the road. I hope you will be able to attend worship that day in
thanksgiving for your mother as well as all the gifts for which God has given
us.
