Good morning friends of Emmanuel Reformed Church,

Sunday is the Fifth Sunday in Lent. The Sermon is based on Jesus raising Lazarus (John 11) and the Sermon Title is “Bound At Bethany.” We will be looking at the various ways we are bound in modern life and how Jesus provides
freedom.

After Worship, the Women’s Guild will be meeting.

Tuesday, April 12th there is NO Bible Study. Tuesday evening is Consistory at 7 p.m.

Wednesday, April 13th is the final Cluster Service for Lent at Hill’s at 7:30 p.m. We will be having a combined choir from all of the churches. Pastor John Titus, interim pastor at Harrison City, will bring the message.

Thursday, April 14th at 7 p.m. is our MOOK (Meaningfully Obeying Our King) group. We meet at the Norwalk Daily Grind in Holiday Park and it’s informal Bible study and discussion.

April 17th is Palm Sunday. The Choir will present the Choir Cantata–“Alive!” by Joe E. Parks. It is a gospel-music influenced Cantata about the Easter
Story. We will also be having the Blessing of the Baskets and Easter Egg hunt after worship that day.

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Joseph

“My Heavenly Father, I thank You, through Jesus Christ, Your beloved Son, that You kept me safe from all evil and danger last night. Save me, I pray, today as well, from every evil and sin, so that all I do and the way
that I live will please you. I put myself in your care, body and soul and all that I have. Let Your holy Angels be with me, so that the evil enemy will not gain power over me. Amen.”
