Good afternoon, friends,
It is a beautiful afternoon in SW Pennsyvlania, it’s quite cold and snowy.
Tonight is our Norwalk Daily Grind meeting at 7 p.m. in Holiday Park/Plum. We are discussing images of our faith. All are welcome to join in with a cup of coffee, a bagel, etc.
On Sunday, January 9th, we will be remembering the Baptism of Jesus in the sermon. We will also be installing & ordaining deacons and elders for Consistory. There will be a document about ordaining lay leaders on the website a little later in the day at hillschurch.wordpress.com/
After worship, we will ‘undecorate’ the church of our Christmas decorations.
Next week:
Monday night is choir at 7 p.m.
Tuesday–NO Bible Study; Bible Study resumes Tuesday, January 18th.
Wednesday Evening–Consistory at 7 p.m.

A PRAYER FOR ELDERS AND DEACONS:
God of love and compassion,
you poured out your life in service
in your Son, Jesus Christ.
By word and example he taught us
to find fulfillment in giving ourselves,
and greatness in serving others.
Bless those called to be deacons and elders,
who lead us in serving, caring, and governing.
Empower them by the grace of your Spirit,
That your whole church may give its life for the sake of the world,
in the name of Jesus Christ,
who came not to be served, but to serve. Amen.
