Thursday Morning Update–December 30, 2010

Good morning friends of Hill’s Church,

Hi everyone! Before you put away that tinsel and turn off the Christmas Carols, remember that Christmas is a season (Remember the song “The Twelve Days of Christmas?”) that lasts until January 6th! So, my hope and prayer is that you will continue to remember Christ’s birth and celebrate the joy of the season in which God came to man at Bethlehem.

On Sunday, January 2nd, our worship will focus on the Arrival of the Wise Men to visit Jesus in Matthew Chapter 2. Worship will feature Holy Communion and there will be a covered dish following our worship in the Steele Building.

We are continuing our Bible Study of Revelation on Tuesday, January 4th at 10 a.m. We will be studying Chapters 6 & 7 this Tuesday.

Next Thursday, January 6th is our Norwalk Daily Grind Bible Study/Discussion Group. We are planning on dealing with our faith as IMAGE-rich. That is, what does it mean that our faith is visual? I am planning on bringing along some pictures and visuals to show what I mean. We meet at 7 p.m. over a latte or bagel, etc.

I am wishing all of you a beautiful and safe New Year Holiday. I pray that God will bless you in this time and keep you safe.

Peace,

Pastor Joseph
