The schedule for the upcoming week:
On Sunday morning, December 19th, we will be having a Christmas Carol sing along and Choir Cantata during morning worship. The Cantata is a short one and has familiar Christmas themes. In addition, we’ll be singing a few favorites as a congregation. That starts at 10:15 a.m. (Choir meets at 9 a.m. to go over the Cantata again.)
After worship is the Cookie Exchange. Chris Ericson writes: “Please join our Confirmands December 19th immediately following worship for an old fashion cookie swap and bake-off. Bring in 3 dozen of your favorite holiday treats to share, and go home with a collection of the congregation’s best cookies.” We will have judges to determine who brought the best cookie and then you will go home with an assortment to share with your guests.
After the fellowship time and we’ve had time for lunch, the congregation is going Christmas Caroling to homebound members of the congregation. Last year, bad weather got in the way of caroling, so we’re a little ‘rusty’. Anyone is welcome and you don’t have to be a great singer, just joyful!!!!!!
Christmas Eve is almost upon us. On Christmas Eve, we will have two services; both with candlelight and communion. The family service is at 7 p.m. and the late service is at 11:00 p.m. Come and be part of the ‘most wonderful time of the year!’
O Wisdom, coming forth from the mouth of the Most High,
reaching from one end to the other mightily,
and sweetly ordering all things:
Come and teach us the way of prudence.

Grace and Peace to you,
