Good morning,
It’s hard to believe, isn’t it, that July is almost over? This Sunday, August
1st, is Communion and the Covered Dish following worship. The message is called
“How Spacious a Storehouse.”
On August 8th following worship will be the second of our ‘Sundaes on Sunday’
events, where we will share ice cream and I will present a talk with slides on
my year serving the church in Germany. There are lots of differences, so come
with questions!
Tonight wraps up Vacation Bible School. Thanks to all the volunteers and
helpers for a great week! There have been great snacks, music, games, crafts
and each and every person I’ve talked to has been very impressed with the whole
Vacation Bible School program this year.
George Pees celebrated his 92nd birthday yesterday with his family and a few of
us from church. (He was also in church on Sunday.) I’m sure he’d appreciate a
note, if you’d like to send him a card.
