A Great First Week

Good morning friends,

Following Pastor Dick’s lead, I want to continue to send out the Thursday morning emails regarding Emmanuel’s ministry.  If you would like to continue receiving this email, do nothing.  If you wish to be taken off the list, please respond to me at pastorjoseph@windstream.net.  Thanks for listening.

Well, this has been my first full week!  Everyone was wonderful on Sunday and very warm and welcoming.  There was a cake during the covered dish welcoming me to Emmanuel that was just fantastic.

Yesterday was the Women’s Guild Spring Salad Luncheon and we had quite a few people stop in for their lunch.  There were even a few takeouts.   The food was very good, the weather cooperated and the fellowship was fabulous.

Tonight is the National Day of Prayer at Export Community Park from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.  A few of us from Hills Church will be attending.  If you wish to come, we’ll meet you at the park and bring a folding chair and a flashlight.

Sunday, of course, is Mother’s Day.  Mothers will be remembered in the Pastoral Prayer during worship.

I am looking forward to meeting all of you and going forward in our ministry to God together.

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Joseph
