About Us: Emmanuel (Hill’s) Reformed Church of the United Church of Christ is a Christian congregation that has worked throughput its 204 year history to share the Gospel. What began as a ‘destitute’ frontier church meeting outdoors became a Christian congregation who has fed the hungry, consoled the grieving, baptized the young, and discipled many. We are located in suburban Export/Murrysville about 15 miles east of Pittsburgh. We offer weekly Bible Studies, liturgical Protestant worship, and service to our neighbors and friends.
Meet our Pastor: Joseph Hedden Jr is a 1997 graduate of Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. He has served Emmanuel Church as its pastor since 2010. Joseph has served the wider church on the Board of Directors of the Penn West Confence, Dean and Theology Instructor in the Penn West Academy, and President of the Pittsburgh Theology Alumni Association. Since 2020, Pastor Joseph has served as a Spiritual Director for individuals and groups and serves on the faculty of the Pneuma Institute for Spiritual Direction and Spiritual Leadership. Joseph is married and has two adult daughters.
